Brahma Kumaris and the Youth wing organised a memorable event on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of 26th November 2008 terror attack at Mumbai by organizing world’s biggest peace Sand painting (Rangoli) on 26th November 2010. The event was organised at the ground of Ashok bhau Firodia School grounds. The Rangoli depicting Universal Peace, Harmony, Cooperation and Spiritual Values was spread in 9020 Sq. meters (97090 Sq Feet) area. Over 2000 students, eminent citizens and members of Brahma Kumaris Youth Wing from all over India participated in the mega event. About 19000 kgs of colours in 10 different shades were used to make this sand painting. This Rangoli is being registered in the Guinness book of world records and the Limca book of records as the world’s biggest rangoli.
Dilip Gandhi – Member of Parliament and Baban Rao Pachpute – Tribal development minister, Govt. of Maharashtra were present on the occasion.
