In the hustle and bustle of modern life, amidst the constant clamor of notifications and the incessant chatter of media, the value of silence often goes unnoticed. Yet, silence holds a profound magic, a break from the cacophony that surrounds us, a sanctuary for reflection, and a source of profound wisdom.
A national Youth Retreat on “Magic of Silence” was organised at Gyan Sarovar, Academy for a better world, Mount Abu, Rajasthan by the Youth Wing (RERF) and the Brahma Kumaris.
Over 400 young participants from across India engaged in exploring various aspects of silence during the recent retreat. They brainstormed into topics such as overcoming resistance and tension in silence, understanding the silence of others, and practicing silence in relationships learning when and how much. Through discussions, activities, and workshops, the primary goal was to recognize silence as a strength rather than a weakness. The retreat aimed to equip youth with tools and techniques to experience and harness the power of silence for personal growth and social benefit.
Building on this energy, the organization is planning two upcoming events: “IMPActs” (Important Acts) for International Youth Day on August 12, 2024, aimed at empowering youth through positive action. And the “Prerna-4 Youth Festival” in September 2024.
Greetings of International Youth Day.
