Invisible and unrecognised contribution to the society

Social force is shaping our life and future. Social contribution is enormous which we never realized. Society acts as an audience. Society is reviewer and rectifies also without any charges. Evoke and Evolve.

When we wake up in the morning to start our daily life, we get many things readymade – from morning milk to newspaper to street light at night. We get water, electricity, gas, etc. Someone produces food, someone sells. We have teachers to shape us, to teach us. There are schools, colleges, educational systems and playgrounds, places to work. Someone covers us from the enemy, watching day and night at the border.

We see varieties of citizens and their contribution to the society – healthcare staffs to garbage collectors, policemen to postmen. We should be so grateful.

Many times, we don’t realize their presence and importance. As a part of the society, how am I contributing? How can I contribute?  I should have a desire, an aspiration. Society organises so many festivals to keep us happy and motivated. It is easy to disturb or destroy but difficult to build. So instead, we should safeguard public places and its sanctity. It isn’t one individual who prepares such a long road from Delhi to Mumbai but it’s the country, the government, the society, the community that play this important role.

Whenever someone compliments me for doing good things or work, I reply to them that a lot of people and institutes have worked in designing me. I am supposed to give at least this kind of output. It is in the society we establish our supremacy, name, fame and relations. However great we may be, but without the presence of people we are simply empty. It is the society who recognises and values our contributions, talents and positions. Youth must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, it doesn’t mean the ocean becomes dirty.

Dr T. P. Chia said: “A society’s morality depends on how it treats the weak and the poor”.  Someone also said “Remember, your value is not determined by you, but by others around you”. So be considerate of others. We build the society, we are the bricks of this social building. Everyone should realize their own responsibility and social obligation to pay back. There are numerous temples, mosques, churches, gurudwaras, pagodas, etc. These religious places are there to be religious, ethical and positive. And we also have many spiritual places where we learn also how to rise and be positive. Positive thinking, meditations, good wishes and pure feelings are important for the self and the society. Cooperation is a great power.
